Frequently Asked Questions

Q1: Are these labels BPA/BPS-free and phenol-free? +

A: Yes — our Direct Thermal Eco grade is BPA/BPS-free, and Top-coated Direct Thermal is both BPA/BPS-free and phenol-free. If you need full phenol-free compliance, choose Top-coated DT.

Q2: Will 38 × 25 mm labels work with my printer? +

A: In most cases, yes. 38 × 25 mm labels are compatible with the majority of desktop thermal printers such as Zebra GK / ZD series, TSC, Citizen and Toshiba. They can also be supplied on 19 mm cores for portable devices and 76 mm cores for industrial printers.

Q3: Are 38 × 25 mm labels suitable for barcodes? +

A: Yes — this size is widely used for barcodes, SKU labels and small product IDs. For long-term durability or outdoor use, choose Thermal Transfer polypropylene or polyester with a wax-resin or resin ribbon.

Q4: Which adhesive should I choose for temporary or freezer use? +

A: Choose removable adhesive for temporary labelling (bins, trays, shelves) and freezer-grade permanent for chilled or frozen environments.
Note: Freezer-grade is available on Top-coated DT and TT Paper; removable is not available on TT Polyester or tamper-evident stocks.

Q5: Do you offer this label in other similar sizes? +

A: Yes — we also manufacture 38.1 × 25.4 mm, 40 × 30 mm and 50.8 × 25.4 mm labels, as well as custom sizes to your exact specification.

Q6: Can you advise on the best material and adhesive? +

A: Of course — tell us about your printer, the surface being labelled and the environment, and we’ll recommend the most appropriate material, adhesive and print method for your application.
