Frequently Asked Questions

Q1: Are your direct thermal labels BPA/BPS-free and phenol-free? +

A: DT Eco is BPA-free. DT Top-coated grades are produced without bisphenol chemistry, so they are BPA-, BPS-, and phenol-free. If you need phenol-free media, choose Top-coated DT (data sheets available on request).

Q2: Will these work with my printer? +

A: Yes — 102 × 152 mm (4×6″) is the standard courier label size and works with most desktop and industrial thermal printers. Choose the correct core: 25 / 38 mm for desktop models such as Zebra GK420D / ZD421, or 76 mm for industrial units like Zebra ZT220 / ZT421, TSC MH-series, Citizen and Toshiba.

Q3: Are 102 x 152 mm labels waterproof? +

A: Direct Thermal paper isn’t waterproof. For longer-lasting or outdoor use, choose Thermal Transfer synthetics such as polypropylene or polyester, printed with a wax-resin or resin ribbon.

Q4: Which adhesive should I choose for freezers or temporary use? +

A: Use Freezer-grade permanent for chilled or frozen environments, and Removable for short-term or repositionable applications.
Compatibility: Freezer is available with Top-coated DT and TT Paper; Removable is not available with TT Polyester or Tamper-evident materials.

Q5: Do you offer this label in other sizes? +

A: Yes — we produce a full range of 4×6 inch variants including 100 × 150 mm, 101.6 × 152.4 mm and 150 × 100 mm. Custom sizes are also available on request.

Q6: How do I know what type of label I need? +

A: Tell us about your printer, environment and application in the enquiry form — we’ll recommend the best print method, material and adhesive for your needs.
